Jungian Analysis

Jungian psychology, sometimes known as Analytical Psychology, acknowledges an unconscious dimension to our human experience. In essence, this means there is more to our psychological life than we are consciously aware of the majority of the time. However, these unconscious factors continue to influence our conscious lives, often in profound ways.

Jungian Analysis facilitates an exploration of the unconscious and fosters a relationship to its wisdom. This may include illuminating historical factors that have contributed to our current experience, but is not limited to this. The unconscious is also a wellspring of unrealised potential that may be accessed in service of the development of the personality.

One form in which the unconscious expresses itself is through images and symbols. Working with dreams, the imagination and creative expression is often an important part of Jungian Analysis. The relationship between the analyst and the client can be another mode in which the unconscious communicates, and reflecting on this dynamic may also form an important part of analysis.
