  • What is your fee?
My fee is £60 per 50 minute session (1 analytic hour).
  • How regularly do I need to attend?
Attending once per week at a minimum is recommended. More intensive analysis is possible, with a frequency of two meetings per week upwards.
  • How long will it take?
This depends very much on the individual and their motivations for entering therapy or analysis. The work can be open-ended and last as long as you would like it to. In practice, this can be anything from a few months to a number of years.
  • Will I have to lie down on a couch?
No - I work sitting upright and face-to-face.
  • What is the difference between psychotherapy and analysis?
Psychotherapy tends to work on specific problems, often over a shorter time frame than analysis. Analysis focuses with greater intensity on the unconscious, personality structure and transformation, and therefore is typically a longer process.
  • Do I need to have lots of dreams to be suitable for analysis?
No, there is no absolute requirement to bring dreams. However, I do encourage this practice as dreams are powerful forms of unconscious communication.
